ChatGPT has a policy of not allowing certain use cases for it’s free service, I was thinking of a horrible situation that already exists that could be totally upgraded with the use of something like the API ChatGPT uses.
Have you ever been on any website with user accounts and thought ‘these people seem fake’ or ‘these people talk until I pay money’. You would be correct because I made one for my own testing many years ago using a simple php site and a couple files of code, the site would make a random bot user say hello once any “real” email verified user joined, then had a random reply for 1-3 more messages then it would go silent and welcome another new user if it was it’s turn. I was using lots of random and revolving logic in this script.
Each time new ‘real users’ joined a user_count total would get increased and another bot user account would then be created automatically within a certain percentage with a different style and set of responses. I had this test site make 1 bot for every 3 new users, then put the user_count on the front page just like many sites do to show how popular they are.
Let me clarify when I made that site I wanted to see just how easy it would be to do and all the user accounts were bots even the real, it took me about 3 days to figure it all out back then. Well now with AI services coming out these bots could be even more convincing as fake interaction bots, this will happen without a doubt and these ai bots could squeeze more ‘you have ran out of message credits, buy more to continue this conversation’ scenarios.
This is so bad, the internet is just a honeypot for abuse and it’s sad! Don’t get ripped off bruhs!
